Beginners Quilting - Make a Hot Water Bottle Cover

Join me for an introduction to all things quilting!

In this workshop we will learn how quilting techniques can be used to make functionally and decorative pieces for your home.

Starting with choosing fabrics, then piecing and sandwiching and finally binding your hot water bottle cover which you’ll then have to take home with you.

All equipment and materials provided – but please feel free to bring along any special fabrics you might have at home that you'd like to incorporate into your quilt.

In the workshop we will cover:

- Choosing fabrics and complimentary colours

- Choosing patterns and discussing traditional patterns and reference books

- Cutting fabric accurately and safely

- Piecing the quilt top using sewing machines

- Pressing open seams

- Quilting by machine and by hand

- Constructing your hot water bottle cover

The workshop will begin at 10am, with a break for lunch and finish around 3pm

Cost £60 per person - includes all equipment and materials
